They are legendary. They are full of history, tradition and pride. They are one of the greatest ever..the Boston Crusaders. They were founded in 1940 and have gone through several names--Most Precious Blood Crusaders, Hyde Park Crusaders and Boston Crusaders.
BAC, as they are known, were one of the powers in the east in the '60s. They won the first CYO National Championship in 1964 and won again in 1966 and 1967. They also won World Open in 66 and 67. Coming into 1972, BAC had been in VFW finals in 69 (4th), 70 (2nd and high drums) and 8th.
They didn't make it to Whitewater in 1972. During that time they had lost much of their equipment in a fire and came out with a much smaller corps than what we were accustomed to in 1973. BAC overcame this adversity as well as many others and have remained a favorite of fans everywhere.
