Shown in the photo is Bob Mowrer and his baritone "G" bugle while in the DAV Jr. Drum Corps in 1933.

DAV competed against Osmond in the 1930's along with the Olney Legion. The three local junior corps became rivals in the early days. In later years Bob joined Yearsley and was a member of the National Champion Brass Quartet at the VFW Nationals 1941 in Philadelphia. After WW2 he went on to Reilly and became Philadelphia Senior Circuit Champion Soprano Bugler in 1949.

It should be noted that Joe Mountain was also a member of DAV before coming to Osmond and his Father was instrumental in helping to run the corps. DAV never became a top contender, however many of their members went on to make their mark in drum corps because of their solid foundation.
