Hangout for many of the early members was a drug store at 2nd & Godfrey. Don't recall the name. "Ears " Gehlert"s father did work for us. I believe he had a shop on Mascher St
Before my wife, I recall majorettes by the names of Zink, Doris Jess, Kitty Ryan, Bea Higgins and then Dolores Eisenach. Then there somewhere was also a cute little blonde, can't remember her name but she was one of Hymie's favorites. Recall color guard captains Helen Ryan, Kay Marbach, Keenan and I believe Roseanne Haley.

Of some interest, Lee referred to a music instructor by the name of Danziisen who actually would bring his son with him to rehearsal and he would play the parts for us on his trumpet since none of us read music. That did not last very long.

When providing material for this record I almost forgot one of the most important, my dad. While no official title, he was a combination Secretary & Treasurer. You know how lax Hymie was with things and "his kids." It was my dad's job to keep records, handle correspondence , etc. When the Corps wanted a football team, he volunteered to coach. When they needed football uniforms and equipment, he contacted Temple University and somehow managed to get their prior years items. He of course followed Bob and I to Reilly.
For additional early history, Bill Mitten would be a good one to contact.
Helen(Margerum)Masterson was also a color guard captain.
